The Final Week of Class:

Hello,Everyone!

Well I guess we finally made it!..All I have left to do is one final in another class.
I have enjoyed this Comp. II class very much so. I believe that the best advice I could give to someone that is writing their first scientific paper is to be sure and take Comp. I and Especially Comp.II here at Kaplan and if possible to choose the instructor, Julie Pal, as she is really great at teaching us the most important things that one must know to do a good job. She has also made this class a very fun class for me and I will take much from it on to my career in writing. During the time spent in this class, I have learned just how important it is to have a plan for writing. We used APA here and I have learned much about it. I feel it will certainly be a big help in the future in making a nice looking paper. I feel a responsibility for what I write now and it has to be what is expected. This is an important part of writing. I feel that the peer reviews were vital and I did enjoy doing them. I do feel though that some people are not really able to accept this for what it really is, and it is something that is also vital to them.
Yes,, this term was fun, and I did enjoy it to the max. I do hope to meet you Julie at the graduation if you are by chance there.
And to my fellow students, please keep in touch through the blog.. There are amongst us several soon to be Medical Transcriptionists and would love to stay in touch.

Hello everyone!

Here we are, week 9! My, how time has flown in this class. I have really enjoyed this class to the max! I have also learned alot in here too, and you know what? The instructer has made learning a real fun thing here and I appreciate her for that. My final draft of mt report is finished and at the paper review tonight. I am so very happy that finally,, I got it finished. Seems it took forever. I reaslly enjoyed doing this project,, and I learned so very much. I am tired,,, looking forward to the week off before digging in again in the next term. I am thrilled at the fact, I am over half way there now and it is downhill the rest od the way, The medical courses are all behind me now (except for Pharmacology). I have the keyboarding and the Medical Transcriptionist courses remaining, but am sure I will make it now. For my electives I will take medical insurance and coding so I will be able to work both fields with no problem. I do look forward to this at the end of this year.

Unit 7, Blog for the week! What a week!

Hi everyone! What a week this has been. Lots of work and I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel now.. Only two student response posts left to do. Then I can say I am done with this weeks work. Just think, only 3 weeks left this term.. It has gone so very fast it seems---but then the busier it is the faster it flys by. I wish that the next several terms speed by like this one. I am very anxious to begin medical transcription. I am also going to work medical billing and coding I beleive.. For my electives for this course I will choose insurance coding and that to my knowledge is the only real different class I will need. My academic advisor is going to help get those classes set up for both my electives. I know a lady here in town that works with medical billing, and there is a desparate need for help. She has to work about 12 or so hours a day to cover the shortage of help. So I shall be looking forward to that also.
I am also planning on upgrading to WIN 7 Ultimate. I think it will be much more simplified and easy to use with medical transcription and medical billing. I bought an external hard drive that I have downloaded everything in this computer. Nowe all I have to do is wait for the WIN 7 Ultimate program to arrive from the Kaplan Student Store. I have really happy I have found that store. Last year I upgraded from MSOffice 2003 to 2007. I bought the program here from the Kaplan Student Store and it only cose Me $79.99. At the stores it was selling for $499.00 so I saved a whopping huge amount of money. The WIN 7 Ultimate costs $219.99 at the store and at the college it is only $99.99. Check out that student store if you need anything at all in the software/hardware dept.

Unit 6

Finally!!!! I think I have this set up right now. I had to have grandson help me get it right this time. I was blogging on the comment section. I feel so stupid now. I really enjoy this English Comp. II class. I have learned so much, and it is fun doing it.It is so hard to believe that we are over half way through this term already. I shall miss this class. The things I have learned here I will always carry with me and use them. I never knew that creating a scientific paper could be so fun. I am anxious to see the finished product.

Unit 5

Hello to all my friends, classmates and Peofessor. Time is really flying now. We are already into Unit 5 this term.I am now looking forward to graduation and setting down to a new job right here at home. I am planning on actually going to Miami, Fl. to attend the actual graduation. I do hope some of my fellow classmates will also. I would love to see you at least one time before we go our separate ways. It seems I already know many of you through our posts and seminars in class. I have finally passed the half way point now.

Spring is about here too. I do look forward to the spring and summer. I am in Montana and I am sure many of you know how the winters are here. We went 95 days this winter without seeing dirt or grass or driveways or streets. Yes, the first snow this winter was in November, before Thanksgiving, and the snow finally all melted just last week.
I look forward to hearing from all of you.. Good luck with your blogs.

Unit 4 Post

Hello to all my friends. Each morning I get up and think, this is one day closer to the completion of my goal. I do look forward to working from my home for 4-6 hours a day. I will time for all my hobbies and for my special friends. I know there are several of my classmates that are going into the same career as I and I hope we can stick together as we finish and go out into that working world once again.
